From mild to wild, let KRC complete your front
engine. |

KRC's modular pulley kits provide several options when building your
serpentine belt system. Our pulley kits weigh only 1.8 lbs. including
all hardware, while the average billet aluminum V-belt set weigh almost
5 lbs. With a lighter pulley system you can free up rotating weight,
giving you additional horsepower gains. Between using a KRC serpentine
pulley system, power steering pump and bolt-on reservoir tank, you can
save around 9 lbs. on the front of the car. Kits are available for
Chevrolet, Dodge and Ford.

Pulley Ratios
KRC offers our pulley kits in 15%, 30% and 1-to-1 water pump reductions.
Choosing the right pulley ratio for your application is critical.
Turning the water pump to fast, or too slow, will result in engine
damage. Under racing conditions water pump speed must be kept between
5,000 and 6,500 RPM for proper cooling. Adjusting the speed can be done
with the crankshaft pulley. A smaller crankshaft pulley will reduce the
water pump speed. Check with your engine builder for their recommended
pulley reduction percentages.

Pro Series Pulley Kits
Our Professional Series kits come with a 4.0" aluminum water pump
pulley, with a 6-groove main drive and 3-groove accessory drive, an
aluminum crankshaft pulley, R-LOK crank adapter, belt (most kits)
and the appropriate hardware. Professional series kits will also clear
cartridge style water pumps. |
